Danger

Danger

By:  Garland Davis

He’s afraid yet not afraid

of the force he knows is coming.

His butt and liberty are the issues here-

He protects it at all costs with

an impenetrable wall of

competence that wraps around him.

No biting bullets, no clamoring excuses

of fear meant only for other ears.

But he does know, and there is no reason to fear

Yet still he perceives danger,

The Chief, this way, comes.
