LTJG KIRK DOUGLAS
DEAD AT 103
He joined the United States Navy in 1941, shortly after the United States entered World War II, where he served as a gunnery and communications officer in anti-submarine warfare aboard USS PC-1137. He was medically discharged in 1944 for war injuries sustained from the accidental dropping of a depth charge.
R.I.P. shipmate, I wish for you fair winds and following seas, deep green water under your bow, your main rifles trained in the posture of peace and a gentle breeze at your stern.

No one could say a line through gritted teeth like he could. He was a class actor. Always believable. Thank you for your service to God & country & thank you for the roles you portrayed that help us fans get away from everyday life while we watched you on the “big screen” larger than life.
