Okay, who is going to admit that they went to Black’s Beach in San Diego! Lol.
There’s a sheer cliff you had to climb down to get to the beach…that’s what I heard anyways…

Yep, blacks beach 90% no tan lines. Not a cliff but very steep trail to get down. Back in the 70’s the men policed the area of you would walk around staring they ushered you out.

I discovered it by accident. At low tide you could walk around the rocks at the Torrey Pines beach and it was right there. The rocks were kind of a buffer. Went there a few times after that, when I was in much better shape than I am now. There was also one outside of San Francisco, had to go over the Golden Gate bridge and through the Muir woods. It was called Stinson beach I think.

I visited Black’s Beach a few times in the 70’s when I was young, single and in much better shape. I don’t remember men walking around poolicing the beach, but then again, was too tired from the climb down to the beach. San Diego was a wild place in the mid 70’s with all the clubs, massage parlors, etc.

I managed to stumble upon Black’s in the 70’s when I could actually make my way down to the beach, and was in much better shape. I’ve often wondered if it’s still there.
